Ability Options’ Strategic Plan provides a road map for Ability Options to keep on track when it comes to meeting its outcomes, setting benchmarks for best practice, costing its service and achieving high performance.
Every 12 months, Ability Options reviews its Strategic Plan. This review is informed by direct feedback from the people it supports (through the Ability Options’ Driving Change program) and from analysis of the environment in which the organisation operates. This ensures that Ability Options continues to operate in a way that best meets the needs of the people it supports.
As part of its Strategic Plan, Ability Options is working to achieving significant outcomes in the following key result areas over the next three years (2011-2014):
- The achievement of participation in the community, independence and quality of life are fundamental drivers that underpin our services and the success of our strategy.
- The delivery of high performing, high quality services are essential expectations that underpin our strategy.
- The growth and diversification of Ability Options’ services are driven by unmet need in our community.
- Our profile (identity) and sector leadership (shaping policy & practice) contribute to the shaping of an inclusive community and a better future for people with a disability.
